A brief explanation of how lack mentality keeps us in situations that don’t serve us, demonstrated by an amazing client of mine:

Client: I’m afraid that if I let go of the people who aren’t showing up for me or are even being actively mean to me, then I won’t have anyone in my life.

Me: But you’re moving soon, right?

Client: Right.
Me: All the cabinets in your new apartment are empty right now. There’s nothing in them. Are you worried?
Client: No… because I can go to the grocery store and get what I need when I get there.
Me: BOOM.

Fear-based attachment stems from a lack of trust in our own ability to create what we want. But we need empty space when we’re intending to create change.

Empty space is a blessing. Don’t move all your expired groceries into your new apartment.
